A wide-square silhouette that sits between classic and contemporary, it carries itself without trying too hard. Sunday farmers market, Friday afternoon terrace, it works.
The frame is Mazzucchelli bio-acetate from the Italian mill that supplies the world's luxury eyewear houses. Plant-derived, more sustainable than petroleum plastic, and richer in colour depth. Bottle Green is translucent and shifts with the light. Satin Black is deep and soft-sheen, understated rather than glossy.
Both wear CR39 polarised lenses, the optical resin opticians specify: lighter than glass, sharper than polycarbonate. Grey on the green for natural colour. Grey-green on the black for sharper contrast. Either way, glare is handled, whether you're driving, at the coast, or anywhere the Cape sun has something to say.
The Wombat logo is engraved on the temple, gunmetal on the green, silver on the black. Present, but never loud.
